What is Integrative Psychosynthesis?

Integrative Psychosynthesis is a holistic approach which:
  • balances an understanding of human pain and limitation with an awareness of our spiritual longing
  • accepts bad or shameful aspects of ourselves as part of our wholeness
  • is a practical way of transforming the challenges we face into opportunities to live richer, deeper lives.
The problems which cause us pain may have an important underlying message which we need to understand before we can move forward. Rather than trying to get rid of parts of ourselves we don't like, we can bring together the "good" and the "bad" in a way which allows deep healing to take place.

A tree draws up nourishment from its roots, which are hidden in the depths of the earth,so that its leaves and branches can expand and blossom. In the same way, we find strength and balance by bringing awareness to our inner life, allowing an experience of soul to emerge. Soul in this context is not a thing, but qualities of depth, richness and heart which make ordinary life meaningful and enjoyable.
